We have held two of the four Connect / Discipleship Training meetings already in the month of August with two more planned in West Chester, PA and then in Clayton, DE. Links to register for these events have been emailed to the AMD (Commander) or contact me for the links at lantym@awana.org
We have recorded one of those and posted it here so you can see what we are talking about in these 2 hour training sessions. The gist of what we are trying to accomplish is to get our leaders to think more about making disciples during our club nights and not just hearing verses so we can finish a book.
If your leaders would like us to come and do a training like this for your Awana leaders, just let us know and we can see where it can fit into our schedule. This is so important and can change the whole dynamic of your club if we implement some of these practices.
We now can do this kind of training in a little over an hour to get leaders in Awana to move from just book finishers as the goal to the goal of making disciples in the time we spend with the clubbers each week.
